Heather Dahl-Hansen is our dedicated Reading Intervention Specialist and co-founder of DICE Reading Specialist. Heather has over 15 years of experience working in education and over a decade of elementary teaching experience.
 

Heather is a versatile educator and is trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach. She has witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of a Structured Literacy approach on her students’ reading abilities.

As an Elementary Intervention Specialist, Heather has designed and implemented a dynamic intervention program that excels at discovering the root cause of students’ learning difficulties. Heather creates intervention plans that delivers targeted instruction to meet the needs of her students and helps them achieve success.
 

Heather's unwavering passion for student achievement serves as the cornerstone of her work. This commitment inspired her to co-found DICE Reading Specialist, a company dedicated to meeting students where they are at, pinpointing the underlying reasons for their reading challenges, and providing precise instruction to help students achieve academic excellence.

Colleen Spiegel's journey is a testament to the power of resilience and dedication. With a bachelor's degree in business marketing and non-profit management, Colleen has laid a strong educational foundation that has fueled her passion for helping others. As a devoted wife and mother of three, she has experienced firsthand the challenges that come with reading difficulties and the impact of misdiagnosis, not just in an abstract sense but in the very real context of her own family. This personal connection to the cause has only deepened her commitment to making a difference.

Her professional background spans over 15 years in commercial real estate and property management, where she honed her skills in organization, strategic planning, and client relations. Following this extensive career, Colleen chose to focus on her family, dedicating over four years to homemaking. This period allowed her to cultivate a nurturing home environment and further understand the educational and developmental needs of children.

Now, Colleen stands on the brink of a new chapter, channeling her diverse experiences into a business that aims to transform the lives of young readers. Her entrepreneurial spirit is driven by a desire to create positive change and provide solutions for those who face similar challenges as her children did.
